Cloud Venus

A mythic figure emerges from the atmosphere and sea, part goddess, part weather, part memory. Cloud Venus draws on the ancient tradition of nature as storyteller: a face formed from cloud and current, hair caught mid-wind, telling us something about our own place inside a world far larger and older than ourselves. She isn't separate from nature: she is it, briefly given form.

This piece is an original, hand-carved work based on a design I've created before — while the composition is consistent, each piece is individually made and may vary slightly in color, grain, and detail.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid direct sunlight and high-humidity environments, which can cause wood to expand, contract, or fade over time. If you have questions about caring for your specific piece, feel free to reach out.

Most pieces are made to order, with a lead time of 6-8 weeks (up to 3 months for larger or more complex work). If you need a piece by a specific date, please get in touch before ordering so we can confirm timing.

Flatter wall pieces ship via UPS. Larger sculptural and freight-shipped pieces are quoted individually, contact us for a shipping quote.
