Shifting Currents

Shifting Currents is an exploration of the force of water as it moves through the natural world. The waters of the Earth form a vast interconnected system, essential to every form of life and constantly changing through currents, weather, and wind.
Our relationship with water is complicated. We depend upon it completely, yet human activity has profoundly changed the waters and systems that sustain us. I am interested in the possibility that our ability to shape the world can also be used to create a more thoughtful relationship with the living systems we depend upon.
Shifting Currents is ultimately a hopeful vision. It is a reminder to consider our relationship with water, not simply as a resource, but as a living presence, essential to the interconnected systems that sustain us.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid direct sunlight and high-humidity environments, which can cause wood to expand, contract, or fade over time. If you have questions about caring for your specific piece, feel free to reach out.

Care and the handmade promise
Dishwasher and microwave safe. For pieces you love, a gentle hand wash keeps the glaze looking its best over the years. Avoid sudden temperature changes, like moving straight from freezer to oven.
Yes. Every glaze we use is food safe and lead free, fired to a durable stoneware finish that is safe for daily eating and drinking.
Because each piece is thrown and glazed by hand, small differences in size, tone, and surface are natural. The variation is the signature of something made by a person, not a machine.
Each order is wrapped by hand and packed to travel safely. Made-to-order pieces ship within two to three weeks. You will get tracking as soon as it leaves the studio.
