Understory End Table

The Understory End Table draws from the quiet, layered world beneath the forest canopy. Its organic form feels as though it has grown from the earth, echoing the shapes and rhythms found among roots, fallen branches, and the living systems of the forest floor.

The use of tree bark brings a direct connection to the natural world, carrying the material presence of the forest into the home. Its irregular surface and organic character preserve something of the tree itself, creating a sense of growth, age, and place.

Like the understory of a forest, the piece exists within a larger ecosystem of connections. It reflects the idea that much of what sustains us is found beneath the surface, in the roots, relationships, and quiet networks that connect us to nature and to one another.

Made to order, please allow 6–8 weeks. This piece is an original, hand-carved work based on a design I've created before. While the composition is consistent, each piece is individually made and may vary slightly in color, grain, and detail.

Shipping: UPS

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid direct sunlight and high-humidity environments, which can cause wood to expand, contract, or fade over time. If you have questions about caring for your specific piece, feel free to reach out.

Most pieces are made to order, with a lead time of 6-8 weeks (up to 3 months for larger or more complex work). If you need a piece by a specific date, please get in touch before ordering so we can confirm timing.

Flatter wall pieces ship via UPS. Larger sculptural and freight-shipped pieces are quoted individually, contact us for a shipping quote.
