Water's Pathway

Water is always moving. It falls from the sky, flows through rivers and lakes, disappears into the earth, rises again into the atmosphere, and moves through living things. Its form changes, but the water itself continues on its pathway through the world.

I am fascinated by the idea that the water in our own bodies has been part of this continuous cycle for an unimaginably long time. The wood in this piece once held water as a living tree, just as our bodies depend upon it now. We are all connected through this movement.

Water's Pathway is a reflection on water as our most essential shared resource. Its abundance can make it easy to take for granted, yet everything depends upon it. I made this piece as a meditation on the many ways water moves through the living world and through our own lives.

Made to order, please allow 6–8 weeks. This piece is an original, hand-carved work based on a design I've created before. While the composition is consistent, each piece is individually made and may vary slightly in color, grain, and detail.

Shipping: Freight

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid direct sunlight and high-humidity environments, which can cause wood to expand, contract, or fade over time. If you have questions about caring for your specific piece, feel free to reach out.

Most pieces are made to order, with a lead time of 6-8 weeks (up to 3 months for larger or more complex work). If you need a piece by a specific date, please get in touch before ordering so we can confirm timing.

Flatter wall pieces ship via UPS. Larger sculptural and freight-shipped pieces are quoted individually, contact us for a shipping quote.
